Why gift Lego?
If you are thinking about buying Lego gifts for friends or family but are curious about why you’d buy these for anyone other than children, I can help! Lego is great for all ages, there are kits, building sets, and projects for all ages and skill sets.
Truthfully, Lego sets can be a great way to check two boxes off of someones list…they have character sets and popular movie/show/book adaptations that can amazing gifts for fans.
Another reason I like to give Lego sets as gifts is because they’re an awesome way to relax and unwind. It’s a fun way to work with your hands and your mind while being focused on something other than what is going on in the world, online, or in our lives. It’s peaceful and fun!
How do I choose the right gifts for Lego lovers?
In my experience you can’t go wrong. If you are worried that it might be something they already have, you can include a receipt so they can return it or ask someone closer to them to check if your gift idea will be new for them!
Another thing to consider is that many of the Lego gifts can work together. If you think they might have one set, find another in that same group or collection to gift! They’ll be thrilled to have something they enjoy and chances are they can put it to use with their already growing collection!
If you are testing the waters to see if someone is a new fan of Lego, some smaller gifts for Lego lovers might be in order, and again, they can build off of these sets as their collection grows!
Don’t forget that there are tons of Lego accessories and items you can gift that are not actually building sets. There are storage options, clothing, tech accessories, and you could always get them gift cards to the Lego store or take them on a trip to the Lego store or museum!
If you’re not sure where to start, I recommend the Lego Creator series. You use the same set of bricks and can build three different projects. They come at all price points, and they’re great for kids new to Lego who like to follow the instruction booklets.

Great list. Love the non lego ones. Two things you can add to the list is the LEGO ruler for all kinds of measurements and soft bristle brushes for clearning the dust off of lego sets. A LEGO brick sorter is also very useful.
