31 Days of Grocery Savings

I'm excited to be joining in the March Madness Vlogging Challenge hosted by Jendi at Simple Vlogging Tips and Shynea at Penny Pinching Diva. I've been wanting to do more vlogs (video blog posts) for a while, but I've always had an excuse. Sometimes you just need to jump in and do something. I'm going to tackle this goal, give it a try, and learn from my mistakes.

That's exactly what I want to encourage you to do while you're watching this video series all month. I'm making my 31 vlog posts about Grocery Savings because I feel that it's a great place to start tackling your family budget. You have control over it, you can learn a lot of skills that will carry over into other areas of your life, and there are extra benefits like eating healthier and enjoying more time with your family.

Before I start, I want to promise you that the majority of these Grocery Savings Strategies will not involve coupons. I believe you can make major improvements to your budget without coupons, and I think that these tips apply to everyone–whether you're single, a couple without kids, or any size family. You may not be able to utilize all of these strategies right away, but you'll find that as each strategy becomes a habit they become easier. I've been doing these for years, and it's how I can stick to a $400-500/month budget for a family of five, including our household needs, toiletries and food.

Onto Day 1! I'll keep these videos short every day, and you if you miss any I'll compile them here in this post as well as at my YouTube channel.
