Since my kids are so old now, I sent a fellow twin mom and her family on behalf of MonewiseMoms. Her 4-year-old twins and 7-year-old had a blast!
At the show in DC, they did a great job of bringing the story to life complete with the beautiful music and colors/scenery we have grown to love!
Of course Frozen is such a hit with my kids (younger girls/older boy) but all of the stories were wonderful. Cars, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story and Frozen–something for everyone!
Each scene took me back to watching the movies with my kids, and I was just as engrossed as they were!
Tips for taking kids to Disney on Ice
If you’ve never taken your kids to see an ice show before, take this great advice from moms in my Mother of Multiples club:
We always bought small toys ahead of time and took in to let them pick from as we were leaving because it’s hard to take crying kids out who want something they are selling. It always worked for us and no tears. We also took snacks, empty sandwich zip lock bags so we could divide up any food we purchased. –Dee
I just looked and they say they have a bag limit of 14x14x6 so double check size of whatever diaper bag you’re bringing to be safe. –LeighAnne
Let them dress up too. Lots of kids in costumes. –Rosa
I would decide and tell them the rules about if you are buying toys/face painting/pics with characters ahead of time. And def try to bring in snacks. Stashed crackers and lolly pops will save you a ton of $$$ Maybe I’m just cheap, but my kids do not get $15 glow wands and all that. “We are here to see the show, not to buy toys!” –Leonore
