Halloween Fun

Thinking about Halloween yet? We've just started collecting out of our dress-up box to put some costumes together, plus I stopped by a thrift store yesterday and found a few $1 items to help those costumes along. My girls are excited! My son still hasn't decided what he'd like to be. I do have a few decorations up, and it's putting us in the spirit. Here are some simple frugal activities to do to prepare:

Tulle Wreath
Use the same technique from my no-sew tutu on a foam wreath like this one from Our Best Bites. Even if you don't embellish with roses, the orange and black will look great!

Jiggly Skulls
Pick up a silicone skull tray at Dollar Tree (they also have pumpkins) and use the Jell-O Jigglers recipe to make Jiggly Skulls.

Spiderweb Cupcakes
These are so simple! Just frost the base of your cupcake, then draw concentric circles with a contrasting color. Drag a toothpick from the center out towards the edge to get the spiderweb effect. A base of vanilla frosting with black webs would be more traditional, but you know I love chocolate!

Lego Jack o Lantern
Gather up your orange Lego and build a Jack O Lantern! Print instructions from Lego.com.
