I'm on the last week of my monthly meal plan, and I'm already fretting about next week. It has been so nice to take 10-15 minutes to check the calendar and make a grocery list; I'm going to have to do this again! Shopping was very simple this afternoon as well; I'm still using meatballs and frozen cooked ground beef from my last Cook Once, Eat 10 Times session, so I just needed some fresh veggies and lunch items to round out the week.
Sunday–Chicken breasts, baked potatoes, broccoli
Monday–Meatballs, spaghetti, asparagus, salad
Tuesday–Spinach & Feta Omelets & Rosemary Diced Potatoes, fruit
Wednesday–Beef Tacos with fixins, black beans
Thursday–Chicken Cacciatore in the crockpot, pasta, salad
Friday–Turkey Melts & Homemade Fries
Saturday–Pasta Salad, bread from the breadmaker
Can you tell we have a lot of potatoes and pasta in the house? By planning my meals around the weekly sales and what I have on-hand, I reduce my per-meal cost and keep my grocery costs down. For more tips on grocery savings, read Saving Money on Groceries (with NO Coupons).
