Well, I'm happy to say our Thanksgiving feast was a success. The Cheesy Broccoli Casserole went even faster than last time, and I tried Motherload's Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes, which was a new recipe for me. I was able to make them Sunday afternoon, then reheated them in the Crockpot for 2 hours. They were delicious! Since I didn't make the Turkey & Wild Rice Soup on Saturday as I had planned, I'll make it this week with our leftovers. I'm also stretching several meals this week, using up my frozen chicken and planning vegetarian meals to get through until there is another sale on ground beef. It hasn't been on sale in a long while, and I won't buy it at $4.99/lb. We'll see what the Wednesday sales flyers bring. As for the rest of December, my plan is to use up my stockpile food so I can spend very little each week, buying just produce, milk, bread, etc. to keep spending low.
Sunday–Pizza bagels using this sauce, salad
Monday–Crockpot chicken tacos, black beans
Tuesday–Crockpot Turkey and Wild Rice Soup, bread from the breadmaker
Wednesday–Easy Baked Manicotti, salad, green beans
Thursday–Spinach and Chicken Quesadillas using leftovers from Monday's tacos, salad
Friday–leftover Manicotti from Wednesday, broccoli, garlic bread
Saturday–Mystery Meat (meaning, whatever's on sale at the store–roast? hamburgers? We'll see), baked potatoes, peas
