With the meat, pork and chicken sales at the stores last week, my freezer is full, so I have plenty to work with for this week and next. I anticipate spending less by just buying milk, produce, and whatever little bits I need to complete these meals. Before you shop each week, do you check your freezer and pantry? By doing so, you avoid buying duplicates at higher prices, and you use up what you have, both good habits for saving on your grocery budget. Sometime this week, I need to schedule a bake-and-freeze session, just an hour or so where I make a bunch of waffles, biscuits and muffins to put in the freezer to go along with my busy weeknight meals. Since I'm spending less time shopping, I can afford the time to bake.
