I've seen so many fabulous Halloween food ideas around the blogosphere, this year I decided to actually make some with my kids. Using coupon-shopped Rice Krispies, baking mixes, and other goodies, we've been able to make all these fun foods:
We used Hershey Kisses, mini Nilla Wafers, and pretzel sticks (glued together with frosting) to make these adorable Chocolate Acorns. Original recipe from Family Fun.
These Rice Krispie Treat Pumpkins were fun (though be careful not to burn your hands–ouch!). Just add food coloring to the butter and marshmallow while they're melting, then form balls. Add a half a Tootsie Roll for the stem and draw on some frosting leaves. Originally seen on The Nest.
Next weekend we'll be baking up a storm for our big neighborhood Halloween Parade and Party. I stocked up on cake mixes and frosting with coupons and Catalina deals so we can make these Spiderweb Cupcakes as we've done in years past. Just draw circles with white frosting and drag a toothpick through to form the webs.
