Two weeks ago, I shared some ideas for adding new recipes to your menu plan rotation, and I'm happy to say that all the new recipes we tried–especially the Slow Cooker Beef Gyros from Six Sisters' Stuff–were a hit! I'm glad I took the time to track down a couple of new ones and give them a try. Part of my motivation is that as a family, we've been watching Chopped Junior every Tuesday evening. Oh, my, these 10-14 year old kids are amazing cooks! They know how to do way more than I do, and I cook every day. My kids are more excited than ever to help out in the kitchen and try new foods, ingredients, and combinations. So they've been up for some new meals and taste-testing.
Around the new recipes we're trying, I like to keep some things the same (like Meatless Monday and Taco Tuesday), just to stay structured. You'll see that pattern on my two-week menu plans.
Moneywise Menu Plan – 11/22 to 12/5

Meatless Monday: Crustless Italian Spinach Pie and salad
Tuesday: Taco Cornbread Casserole
Wednesday: Slow Cooker Chicken Parmesan from The Recipe Critic, spaghetti and broccoli
Thanksgiving Weekend: We're headed out of town! And I don't have to cook! I'm just a little excited about having a break!
Sunday: We're extending the weekend's eating with a Fondue Night with friends.
Meatless Monday: Breakfast for dinner-spinach & feta omelets with rosemary potatoes and fruit
Tuesday: Slow Cooker Shredded Pork Tacos, brown rice, black beans & toppings
Wednesday: Sausage Lentil Soup and 30-minute Dinner Rolls
Thursday: Broccoli Rice Casserole w/added chicken (using leftover rice from Tues. night)
Friday: Slow Cooker Pork Ragu & Fettuccine and salad
