These easy Valentine cake mix cookies are perfect for a quick and simple holiday treat. There’s just three ingredients plus your favorite sprinkles!

This simple Valentine’s Day cookie doesn’t require any rolling out or cookie cutters. They’re my favorite last-minute cookie to make for any party or get together.

The great thing about cake mix cookies is that they take a regular old cake mix and turn it into an easy cookie recipe. You don’t have to jump through hoops or collect a bunch of ingredients. There is minimal measuring and everything goes into the mixture and then onto the pans to bake.

Cake mix cookies are a great way to take the muss and fuss out of baking. If you have kids in the house who like to help in the kitchen these Valentine cake mix cookies are a great way to get them started with baking! Tween and teens with a little kitchen experience can likely do most of the work for this recipe on their own!

Can I use any cake mix for this recipe?

You can use ANY boxed cake mix for this recipe. It’s really easy and you probably already have one in the pantry just waiting for you to make these Valentine’s day cake mix cookies!

I like to experiment with different flavors when we want a variety of cookies. It’s really easy and makes for the perfect shareable treat! There’s just 5 minutes of prep work and about ten minutes of bake time. Each batch makes 24 cookies, plenty to share.

You can use this recipe for every holiday when you realize that you can use whatever sprinkles you want! There’s sprinkles out there for Valentine’s day of course but you can feel free to add whatever sprinkles to the top that you like!

  • 1 box cake mix, any flavor

  • canola oil

How to make cake mix cookies:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, egg and oil. Dough will be dry, that’s normal.

Roll cookie dough into balls about 2-inches in diameter.

For circles, flatten each with the bottom of a glass. Add sprinkles if desired.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until centers are set.
