Welcome to Way Back Wednesday! As we've been working on our DIY Halloween costumes this week, it's bringing back memories of Halloweens when I was a kid, trick-or-treating with my sisters. Did you have any family traditions around Halloween? For us, it was dumping out our candy at the end of the night and trading back and forth. And it turns out we have the same tradition going now–ours is out of necessity, though. With my son's peanut allergy, he loses half his candy off the top, so he likes trading them away for others. So we invite neighborhood friends to join us for trick-or-treating and then back to the house to hang out, and it has become a favorite night of the year for my kids.
My favorite posts from last week's link-up:
My first choice is a practical one because we're all busy and this time of year, the clutter tends to pile up (am I right?). These 5 Tips on Dealing with Paper & Paperwork from Keeping it Real are spot on. I've been doing the first two for so long that I don't have to think about it anymore. If you're ready to tackle your paper clutter, you need to stop the flow into your home, and these strategies will help immensely.
I had no idea you could put pizza dough into a Bundt pan and come out with something as amazing as Goodie Godmother's Savory Stuffed Bundt “Cake.” The flavors sound amazing, but put them together in this fabulous presentation? Mind blown. What a perfect recipe for a holiday brunch or anytime you need “wow” factor without a ton of effort.
