Easy Crockpot Teriyaki Chicken Recipe

The great thing about slow cooker recipes like this teriyaki chicken is that you don't have to do much prep work. 

Ingredients – 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts – ⅓ cup brown sugar – 6 cloves minced garlic – ⅓ cup soy sauce – ½ teaspoon oregano – ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes – 1 teaspoon minced ginger – 2 Tablespoons cornstarch – 2 Tablespoons water – 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds – chopped scallions and rice for serving

Instructions 1. Spray the liner of a 6qt slow cooker with cooking spray. 2. Add chicken breast to the bottom.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, garlic, soy sauce, oregano, red pepper flakes and ginger. 4.  Pour over chicken breast and cover with lid.

5. Cook on low for 6 hours. 6.  Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes and then remove chicken to a plate to shred. 7.  Set the slow cooker to high so it comes to a boil.

8. Mix cornstarch and water in a small cup, then whisk into the sauce until thickened. 9. Place shredded chicken back into the slow cooker and toss with the sauce. 10. Serve over a bed of rice and top with scallions.
