Turkey Cranberry Pinwheels

Trying new appetizer recipes is a favorite activity for my family during the holiday season. Whether it’s just for us or to share at a party, we love finding recipes with interesting ingredients and flavors. These turkey cranberry pinwheels were a big hit!

Pinwheel appetizers are super easy to make, and this version with deli turkey, dried cranberries and two cheeses is no exception. The tartness (from feta and cranberries) is a fabulous contrast to the cream cheese and turkey. The cranberries and green onions add some texture. And it’s all wrapped up in a spinach tortilla.

Our turkey cranberry cream cheese pinwheels have all the colors and flavors of the festive season. Give them a try!

Our turkey cranberry pinwheel recipe needs only six ingredients. They’re easy to prep ahead and store in the fridge until you’re ready to plate them and serve.

Why use dried cranberries instead of fresh?

With pinwheel appetizers, the “wetter” the ingredients, the more likely they are to get soggy sitting out at the party. For this recipe, we use dried cranberries to get the tartness and texture without the juice.

Make sure you separate the dried cranberries from each other before sprinkling them onto the cream cheese. I often find that they’re clumped together in their packaging.

Pinwheel storage tips:

You can make these spinach tortilla rollups with turkey up to 24 hours in advance and keep them in the fridge until your event.

To keep them from getting soggy, keep them wrapped tightly in plastic wrap. Then, slice before laying flat on a platter to serve.

If you have any leftover pinwheel appetizers, store them in an airtight container but plan to eat them quickly. They will only last 2-3 days in the refrigerator.
