Celebrating holidays and enjoying the seasons with your family doesn’t have to cost a lot! Family traditions happen because you take the time together regularly, not because you spend a lot of money.
Here you’ll find all of the holiday, birthday and seasonal posts from MoneywiseMoms.
These special times of year can often cause stress because we worry about spending too much. But that’s not necessary!
Using creativity and planning ahead, you can celebrate without busting your budget.
Spring
Spring bring a sense of renewal and refreshing. It’s the time to shake off the winter blahs!
Summer
Summer is my kids’ favorite season! We get to relax a bit from the busy school schedule and fully participate in our neighborhood swim team.
Back to School
The back to school seasons starts at a different time depending on where you live. Here in the DC area, it’s the last week of August.
Fall
I love living in Virginia because of how colorful it is in the fall. This is my favorite season, filled with walks once it cools down, and bringing back our favorite recipes for cooler weather.
Winter
Oh, the winters out here in the Mid-Atlantic can be rough. But it can also suddenly be 70 degrees! We joke that when you move to Virginia, you can experience all four seasons in the same week. That typically happens in our “winter.”
Birthdays
Family birthdays are a wonderful time to establish and repeat family traditions.
