Making these mice krispie treats is easy. If a kid can do it we can all do it, right? There’s no stovetop cooking involved, so you won’t even have to worry about anyone getting burnt.

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Use 1 Tbsp of butter to grease the parchment paper.
  3. Use 1 Tbsp of butter to grease a microwave safe mixing bowl. Add the marshmallows and microwave for 3 minutes.
  4. Add the 6 cups of rice krispies cereal to the marshmallows and stir until properly combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the lined pan and spread it evenly. Use the remaining Tbsp of butter to grease your hands, and press the mixture in evenly.
  6. Let the mixture cool slightly, and then use the cookie cutter to make hearts and place them on another sheet of wax paper for decorating.
  7. Decorate with red M&Ms for the ears, black icing for the eyes, red cinnamon hearts for the nose and licorice for the tail.
  8. If your marshmallow treats have cooled too much, the nose might not stick. Just grab a little of the black icing, and use that as glue.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups of rice krispie cereal
  • 10 oz of marshmallows
  • 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Heart cookie cutter – I used a 3 in. cookie cutter
  • Cinnamon hearts (for the nose)
  • Pull N Peel licorice (for the tail)
  • Black icing (for the eyes)
  • Red M&Ms (for the ears)
  • Parchment paper, wax paper

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Use 1 Tbsp of butter to grease the parchment paper.
  3. Use 1 Tbsp of butter to grease a microwave safe bowl. Add the marshmallows and microwave for 3 minutes.
  4. Add the 6 cups of rice krispies to the marshmallows and stir until properly combined.
