What do I need to make some tasty bacon parmesan pasta salad?

The ingredients for this tasty pasta salad are really simple but they come together in a way that just makes something magical happen. The crunch of the bacon and the freshness of the peas really add a nice balance to this dish.

Of course, there’s also a little zing from the mayo and the apple cider vinegar as well, there’s something for everyone in this pasta salad!

  • shell pasta
  • mayo
  • shredded Parmesan cheese
  • frozen peas
  • lemon
  • apple cider vinegar
  • bacon
  • salt and pepper
  • Italian parsley

Can I used canned peas?

I really wouldn’t try it, just because the peas in a can are so tender. They’ll go to mush when you stir up and toss the salad. If you want to use fresh peas you can try that but be careful not to overcook them.

Frozen peas really are the simplest option in this case, but if you don’t have them you can try something else and let us know how it works out in the comments.

You can leave them out if you like, or even sub in a different veggie. I think fresh broccoli would go great in this recipe and add a little bit more crunch!
