Here’s how to make cheesy bean dip:

Making homemade dip recipes is quick and easy thanks to the food processor. I love that I can just throw everything in there, blend it up, and it’s ready to go into the oven. If you don’t have one, just use a hand mixer and a large bowl.

Use a dish that you can bake the dip in and then serve it up in as well. I like that you can easily just bake this one and put it out on the table! It’s quick and convenient.

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place the refried beans, diced tomatoes with chilies, cream cheese, and taco seasoning in the bowl of a food processor. Blend until smooth and well combined.
  3. Stir in the cheddar cheese.
  4. Spread the bean mixture into a baking dish and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Top with additional shredded cheese before serving, if desired.

Is this a spicy dip recipe?

No, this is not a spicy bean dip recipe. You could add some jalapeños or chili powder if you want to kick up the spice level though!

I usually tend to stay away from super spicy flavors since kids don’t usually enjoy them and even some adults shy away from spice. Add your jalapenos into the food processor when you are blending everything else up and it’ll be a great kick of heat!

I’d remove the seeds to keep the dip from getting too hot but you can add them however you like, even canned or pickled jalapeños would be tasty!
