It’s almost the New Year! If you’re thinking ahead to 2023, you are probably ready to write down some plans. I often find myself printing out plain calendars for all different purposes, so this year I decided to make my own!
I use blank monthly calendars for things like:
- Meal planning
- Keeping track of habits like drinking water, exercising, etc.
- Organizing our school/sports/music schedule
- Listing out household chores and seasonal needs
- Scheduling projects for my blog business
- Keeping track of birthdays and other special occasions
Ways to use this January 2023 free printable calendar
Everyone uses a calendar differently for planning and organizing. That’s why I am offering 4 different versions of the January 2023 calendar printable. Choose from:
- horizontal layout 11 x 8.5″ Sunday start (image below)
- vertical layout 8.5 x 11″ Sunday start
- horizontal layout 11 x 8.5″ Monday start
- vertical layout 8.5 x 11″ Monday start
Each PDF file is free, so you can print as many times as you like. You may find that you prefer horizontal or vertical for different purposes.
Start on Sunday or Monday?
For different reasons, people like to start their week on Sunday or Monday. When you have kids in school, for example, you tend to see the week in two major parts–weekdays and weekend. So it makes sense to block Saturday and Sunday together on a calendar.
Because of that, I have several monthly calendar pages that start either way. Choose whatever works best for you!
What holidays are in January 2023?
Here in the United States, the following are federal holidays, where banks, post offices and schools are closed:
- Monday, January 2 – Since New Year’s Day is on a Sunday, it is observed on Monday.
- Monday, January 16 – Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
If you’re looking for more of the “fun” holidays for January, like National Bagel Day (January 15th), check out National Day Today.
Since our readers are from other countries besides the US, I chose not to include these holidays on these free printable January calendars. You can just add them in yourself if you observe them.
