Do you call this a bunting or a banner?
It’s funny–I wasn’t sure if I should call this Halloween printable craft a bunting or a banner. I asked my friends and family, and everyone had a different name for it! The general consensus was that a banner would have words on it, so I decided on bunting.
Is this an easy Halloween decoration?
It doesn’t get much easier than this! Even if you’re not a crafty person, you can make this cute printable Halloween banner. All you have to do is print, cut and tape.

Supplies you need:
- white cardstock for printing
- bakers twine and tiny hole punch OR clear tape
- scissors or paper trimmer
How to make this Halloween Bunting
Download and print my free printable Halloween Bunting. You can either print out all 4 pages or print multiple copies of just 1-2 pages to have less colors. There is no need to print the cover page.
Use a paper trimmer or scissors to cut out each triangle. When I used the paper cutter, I had to line up the edge of each flag with the guide because of the angle.
Hang the triangles from a long piece of bakers twine or other string. Personally, I just use clear tape to attach the cardstock triangles to the twine. It’s quick and easy, plus the kids can help!
Alternately, you can punch tiny holes in the top two corners of each triangle and thread the twine through the holes. I do not prefer this method, because I’ve had issues with the twine pulling and ripping the holes.
Choose whatever pattern you’d like for your flags. There’s no wrong way to do it!

While you can certainly print this paper bunting on regular printer paper, it will hold up better if you print on white cardstock. Then, you will be able to use and take down this Halloween decoration to pack away for next year!
This free printable banner is 5 pages–but you don’t need to print the cover page.
